Montañas de Caldera is a unique Chiriqui development providing luxury, yet affordable homes within stunningly beautiful surroundings. The Development

Just minutes from the main David-Boquete highway down the paved Caldera road, just 25 km north of David and 12 km south of Boquete, stands the impressive and developing residential resort community of Montañas de Caldera.

The Project boasts magnificent panoramic 280º views of the surrounding countryside and the Cordillera Central Mountain Range, including the awesome Volcan Barú to the far north of the property and the spectacular Chorcha Plateau to the south.  The location is also remarkable for its delightful climate, with temperatures ranging between 70º-80º F in the daytime and 65º-70ºF at night.

Montañas de Caldera stands on around 176 hectares of fully-titled property, protected by Stewart Land Title Insurance with all home sites on spacious lots ranging from 1,500 m² (16,145 ft²) to 5,000 m² (53,819 ft²).  The large easements between the lot sites guarantee a low density development with good air circulation and large gardens.

Management of all properties can be handled by Montañas de Caldera, should the resident decide to use the home on a part-time basis. This presents excellent opportunities for the local area since good-quality rental accommodation is still very scarce and, for people considering moving to the area, it is advantageous [and recommended] to spend some time here before firmly committing to moving your life.

In keeping with our historical theme, there are five avenues on Montañas de Caldera that are named after historic forts from colonial times: San Lorenzo, Santa María, Portobelo, Nombre de Dios and San Felipe.  Then there are 12 streets are named to celebrate some of the most beautiful flowers that grow in this area, including Bougainvillea, Hortensia, Alamanda, Begonia, Jasmine and Lilies.  The streets all feature central meridians which are to be planted with the flowers that the street is named after.

All electrical, telecommunications and other utilities’ infrastructure have been laid underground to allow unimpeded vistas of the magnificent views.  In fact, the aesthetic nature of the project is a priority for the developers.  Landscaping plans include several theme gardens around a natural stream, three ornamental lakes, several gazebos, fountains and many seating areas.  In addition, 5,000 indigenous trees have already been added to the Gallery Forest, and five indigenous or fruit trees and 100 plants are included with each home site.
