Valle Escondido Residential Resort Community began construction in 2001 and was the first residential project of its kind in Panama. It is widely acclaimed as one of the finest residential communities in Central America and has been featured in a number of international publications and TV programs including Forbes and HGTV House Hunters.

Even though our community is located just 10-minutes walk from the center of the small tourist town of Boquete, we are hidden from view as its name Valle Escondido or “Hidden Valley” implies. Our proximity to the large town of David just 40 kilometers away provides residents with access to international air transportation, shopping malls, entertainment, hospitals, car dealerships, a marina and much more.

The main attraction of the highland area is the mild temperate climate and natural beauty of the forested mountains. Boquete is well known in Central America as both a tourist town and an expat community. There are restaurants, shops, tour operators, a Community Theater, bilingual schools, a medical center and other amenities catering to both tourists and residents alike.

Boquete has a population of approximately 8000 and there are about 500 expat families living in the area with more moving here every week.

Our 25-meter salt system indoor pool beckons you to walk into the tranquility of its soft warm waters. The Artisian Jacuzzi spa is designed to melt away your tensions. Nearby is the latest in Life fitness cardiovascular and muscle toning equipment and a specialist who knows how and what to do in order to take full advantage of it. Both dry saunas and steam baths will rejuvenate your body and prepare you for the journey that lies ahead.

Quebrada Grande Country Club

The Quebrada Grande Country Club, Golf and Spa offers state of the art facilities for you and your guests to enjoy in a 12,000 square foot building. As part of the resort, the clubhouse and the many amenities are available to the resident at a significant discount from what you would otherwise expect to pay. Hotel guests may use the facilities except for the members lounge, which is reserved only for members and their guests. Club members may use the hotel pool area as part of their membership plan. Club members also receive great discounts on spa treatments, food, drink and events that take place in the resort on a regular basis. EL HIGUERON

The Higueron is next to the river under the giant Higueron tree. Here you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the Quebrada Grande as it runs right next to your table. The early mornings bring out the many song-birds who favor this area for their breakfast too. The giant tree acts as an umbrella to both provide shade and protection from the bajareque (Boquete mist) that often times rolls into the valley. They serve a wonderful breakfast of either typical Panamanian style dishes or North American favorites, from omelets to French toast. For lunch you will find great soups and salads as well as sandwiches, burgers and wraps. Want something even more filling? You can order great steaks and chicken dishes as well as fresh fish. Hours 7am to 4pm.

SABOR ESCONDIDO

Don’t let the name fool you. It means hidden flavor, but the flavors won’t be hidden from your palate! Enjoy fine dinning in a casual style at the great white tent. The inside is decorated as a Bedouin camp with multicolored textiles and soft lighting. Sit by the fireplace and enjoy a glass of wine while perusing the extended menu of delightful creations by our chef Alex. We offer a variety of specialties as well as some of your well-known favorites, but all with a touch of Chiriqui flavor. Enjoy a Mexican basket of sautéed chicken in a flour shell or an authentic Valley of the Moon ceviche. Or how about a tangy strawberry salad to go with the steamed or broiled local rainbow trout or seabass. We even grow our own tilapia here in the resort if you would like to experience that wonderful fresh water fish. Our steaks and other meats come from just over the volcano. Brevard specialty butchers is well known all over the country as the best supplier of select meats. If you like pastas they have several flavorful dishes such as meat or vegetarian lasagna or seafood sauce over fettuccini. Be sure to look over their extensive wine list consisting of wonderful South American wines and some California favorites. Home made tres leche or cheese cake with raspberry are to die for.
